根據《TVBS新聞網》報導，一處高山登山基地營地在上週末突然遭遇大規模雪崩襲擊，當時多位現場工作人員正忙著準備迎接國外登山愛好者的相關事務，不料瞬間被厚重積雪掩埋其中。救援團隊經過連日搜索後，今（2）日證實至少有15人不幸喪生。
這起山難被視為本月即將落幕的秋季登山活動期間，最為嚴重的一起意外事故。意外發生時，工作團隊正在現場架設露營帳篷並固定攀登用繩索，而預定前來的外籍登山客當時還未抵達營區。國家登山嚮導協會負責人古隆今日對外說明，搜救人員截至目前已從雪堆中挖出15具罹難者遺體，其中本週初期尋獲7具，今天又再發現8具。
而事發地點，則位於海拔高度達7126公尺的希姆隆峰，座落於尼泊爾北部的馬南縣境內。古隆進一步透露，目前仍有一名工作人員生死未卜，然而在雪崩發生多日後，找到生還者的可能性已經微乎其微，因此搜救行動很有可能即將宣告終止。
